This Week

Since this week is ISTEP the student will not have homework or spelling words. The kids know their homework is to get a good night sleep and a healthy breakfast. Thanks for all the support to help the students do the best they can on the test.

Interesting Article

I say this because 95% (give or take a few percent) of my class drinks chocolate/vanilla milk for lunch.

Celebrate Success

We had a nice ceremony on Friday recognizing three outstanding students. The following students were recognized:

Berenice- being a model student at all times in the classroom.

Jaysen- adjusting nicely in the classroom.

Caleb- great improvement in behavior in the past three weeks.

Bag Books

If you child has a Bag Book for the night be sure to sign it for them saying they have read the book and completed an assignment. Please ask your child questions about the book to see what they learned (Chances are you will learn something as well).

We have read one play this year called "Ranita and the Frog Prince". The students loved it. We are scheduled to go May 17th at 10:00. I am in need of one volunteer to come and watch/supervise our class with me. If you are interested please send in a note with your child or call and I will let you know the details.

When: May 17th
Where: Northrop High School
Time: Leave Harrison Hill 9:20 - Return to Harrison Hill 11:30

Welcome Back

I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing Spring Break. I saw a few yawns from some students this morning. It will take a few days to get back on schedule. We are on the home stretch.

ISTEP will begin in two weeks. We are working hard to prepare and look forward to knocking it out of the park.
