Young Author's
The students' books are due April 10th. We have a few already turned in. It will be due the Tuesday we come back from Spring Break. I gave out construction paper and blank white paper to all the students who asked. Enjoy the break and have fun writing.
Read Across America
One of our Read Across America projects was done digitally. Nice job Nick and to all the neat ideas that kids had and shared today.
Grade Cards
Report cards will be sent home today with your child. Please look at the report card and send back the last sheet with a signature, so I know it made it home. Thank you. Enjoy your Spring Break.

Young Author's
If a child decides to write a book for Young Author's it will be due by Tuesday, April 10th. It isn't mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged. The students can purchase bare books from the media center, type and print them from the computer, or hand-write their books. There won't be time given during school to write these, so all the effort will come from home. They will be due the first Tuesday after Spring Break.

Testing
We have officially finished the first round of testing. We took a deep breath and enjoyed a read aloud along with a short game after lunch. I am very proud of the students for giving their all and doing as well as they possibly could. The class really stepped up and gave a lot of effort. We will take the next round of testing at the end of April. That part will be the multiple choice piece of the test.

Today and Tomorrow
The students will be testing early in the morning each day. I told the kids they can bring slippers and a snack the first two days of testing to feel comfortable and relaxed. Make sure they are getting a nice breakfast and plenty of sleep. Thank you!
