A Mastery Challenge







One student chose to complete a Mastery Challenge today. This was the first one completed by this student and she chose a difficult one (Label all 50 states on a Map). Would you be able to do it? I was very impressed!



Mastery Challenges are fun tidbits of facts that students study on their own outside of school. This is completely optional. There are a list of 80+ challenges they can complete. Just find the "Important Link" section of this webpage called "Mastery Challenges" and click away. They are all listed for you to see. If a student completes 16 challenges this school year, he or she will join the "Wall of Fame". Last year only 2 students in fourth grade made it.

In order to take a challenge the students must tell me first thing in the morning and I will put them on my list. At some point during the day I will call them up to complete the challenge. Students can only do one challenge per day.
