Math

We started working on a new topic in math today. This topic is completely dedicated to place value. The students worked on writing numbers in three different ways (Standard, Expanded, and Word Form). Quiz your child on large numbers and how to properly say big numbers up to the millions. For example, write a number on a sheet of paper (2,432,700) and see if they can say it (Two million, four hundred thirty-two thousand, seven hundred). We will also begin to identify the value of a specific digit. (Example: the 4 in 53,420 is worth 400). Today was our first day and the students were off and running.
